Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, the parliamentary leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Balochistan Assembly, strongly condemned the incidents that took place on May 9 and called for action against individuals responsible for the acts of arson across the country.

During a press conference, he expressed his disappointment with former prime minister Imran Khan for consistently ignoring him on matters concerning Balochistan.

However, Rind clarified that he remains a member of the PTI. He mentioned ongoing consultations with political allies to discuss the future political strategy in Balochistan.

He referred to himself and his associates as silent members of the PTI and stated that they would consult with their comrades regarding the upcoming elections.

The senior politician acknowledged May 9 as a challenging day in Pakistan's history and emphasised their unwavering commitment to democracy. He condemned any damage caused to government or defence installations.

Rind highlighted that after winning the 2018 elections, Khan appointed him as the special assistant to the energy department, but consistently disregarded him in decision-making processes. Consequently, he submitted his resignation from the position.

Regarding an attack on his son's convoy in Kachhi district, he revealed that one guard was killed, and four others were seriously injured. Despite the identification of the culprits involved in the incident, they continue to roam freely in Quetta, as claimed by the PTI leader.
