Google lens is using its computer vision-powered app to identify skin conditions with relavant information. By uploading a picture on Lens, a search for visual matches will prompt the app to identify the skin condition including skin moles, rashes and other physical maladies.

The AI app was launched in 2021 to diagnose skin, hair and nail conditions, debuting in EU first but later facing ban in the US and approval dismissal by the US FDA.

The Lens is now integrated with Bard and is a short step to revolutionizing medical services using artificial intelligence. Users can include images in their Bard prompts and ask the chatbot to identify with Lens, what it is.

Google is investing heavily in generative AI technologies as it aggressively competes with Microsoft's ChatGPT and Bing AI. Last week the company announced that Bard could write, execute and test its own code in the background, improving the ability to program and solve complex problems. It has also partnered with Adobe to bring art generation to its chatbot.
